Star Route

Mary Fields — known as "Stagecoach Mary" — was the first African American woman to carry the U.S. mail. In 1895, she won the Star Route contract in Cascade, Montana. For eight years she never missed a day. Our print honors her through star postmarks, bundled letters, stagecoach lines, and Montana mountain silhouettes on deep indigo denim.
