The Story Behind This Print
From Dust to Bloom
Datura Moonwatch
Sacred Datura — Datura wrightii — is the desert's most dramatic nocturnal plant. Its luminous white trumpet flowers open only under moonlight, relying on sphinx moths as their sole pollinators. Frontier settlers called it Jimsonweed and regarded it with equal parts awe and caution. Our print captures that midnight drama: scientific watercolor blooms, hovering moths, crescent moons, and splitting seed pods on deep midnight indigo denim.
Some things only bloom when no one's watching.
