The Story Behind This Print

From Dust to Bloom

First Lasso

Lucille Mulhall — daughter of an Oklahoma rancher — became the first woman to compete in steer roping at major public events. In 1899, at just fourteen, she roped and tied a steer at a St. Louis fair, stunning the audience. Theodore Roosevelt himself called her "America's First Cowgirl." Our print captures the flying lasso arcs, championship buckles, and arena energy of the woman who proved the rodeo belonged to everyone.

"Throw your own loop — because the arena was always yours."
